Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms are adequate with a kettle near the motorway and a comfy bed, but they are hardly spacious. The location is excellent for a stopover, directly off the motorway, though being right on a roundabout made the noise slightly more than expected. The dining experience was satisfying with a deal that included a substantial continental breakfast and excellent coffee. However, the facilities could be improved as the dining hours were limited.
The hotel rooms were clean, comfortable, and quite spacious, although a bit 'tired'. I had to use air freshener to improve the smell but opening the door and window helped. The service was lovely and extremely helpful, perfect for my journey back to the UK from Spain. While the location was convenient for a stop en route to Spain, it was situated on a busy island interchange just off the motorway. The dining options were limited and overpriced, leading me to eat elsewhere during my stay.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was superb, being close enough to the city center for convenience, but the surroundings made me a bit nervous about my car. The rooms felt a bit dated, reminding me of 60s holiday camp vibes, and cleanliness was an issue, especially with smoke smells and mold in the bathroom. However, the facilities were decent, and it's a good stopover point for travelers heading to Spain.
I found my stay at the hotel to be a mix of good and not so great. The rooms were small and Ikea inspired, but I have to admit they were clean. Unfortunately, the bed was small, and I had a hard time getting comfortable due to being woken up at 4 am by noise from the room above. The restaurant food was below average and overpriced, except for the hot meal I managed to get. I couldn't understand why this Campanile was more expensive than other similar places.
I had a few drinks in the bar, enjoyed a meal in the restaurant, and appreciated having tea and coffee in the rooms which allowed me to get an early start. I would definitely stay here again. The rooms gave me a nostalgic feel of the 60s with modern amenities like TVs, wifi, and tea/coffee facilities. However, I encountered some issues with the heating, making the room cold at times.
My room was directly opposite the restaurant on the ground floor, which wasn't ideal for a peaceful stay. The room was small and had an Ikea-inspired decor, but it felt a bit wrong. The bed was small, the bathroom wasn't up to standard, and I was disturbed at 4 am by noise from the person above, making it hard to sleep. The restaurant food was below average and overpriced.
I stayed at this hotel on my way to Caen from Spain. The location is convenient for entering and exiting the motorway, but the interchange noise can be disruptive late at night and early in the morning. The service was friendly but struggled with some technical issues. The dining options were a bit limited for the price, and the house-made desserts were a highlight.
Upon arrival, the worn-out and dirty carpets in the room were a letdown, but the cleanliness and quietness, along with a great shower, made up for it. The second room had a smoking odor and lacked cleanliness, including mold in the bathroom and dirty carpets. The bar and restaurant provided a pleasant experience, and having tea and coffee in the room was convenient for an early morning start. Despite the initial impression, I would consider staying here again.
Upon arrival at 4.45pm, the room wasn't ready, and the doors needed some extra force to close properly. However, the room was basic yet squeaky clean, and there was a nice touch with tea/coffee amenities available. The staff members were fantastic, providing helpful information for our journey and offering a warm welcome with a drink. The hotel's location, while a bit noisy due to its proximity to a busy road, was easy to find and convenient for our travels. Dining options were limited and not entirely satisfying for the price, but the Pork Belly dish was seriously scrumptious. The facilities were decent, although some improvements could be made in terms of demand fulfilment.
The hotel has all we would expect in the rooms, including a bonus of having a kettle and hair dryer, but the decor looked a bit tired and dated. The location is superb for accessing nearby roads but can be noisy due to being close to a busy dual carriageway. The dining options are on the pricey side, with high costs for both adults and children. Despite some drawbacks, the hotel is a good stop-off point for exploring the area.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was small but suitable for a quick overnight stop, although it was on the ground floor overlooking the car park and had a slight smoke smell. The bar served a few drinks, and the restaurant offered a decent meal. Having tea and coffee in the room was convenient for an early start, making it a good choice for future stays.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was convenient for travelers going between Spain and the UK, situated near a busy interchange off the motorway. The service was friendly, although the dining options were limited and overpriced. The rooms, despite being hot due to a faulty heating system, were decent but had a pet urine smell. The facilities were average, with some room for improvement in various aspects.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would consider staying here again. The convenience of having the restaurant and bar nearby was a plus, allowing for a relaxed evening before retiring to the room for a restful night. However, the noise levels and the below-average restaurant food took away from the overall experience.
I found this hotel to be very convenient for a quick overnight stop right off the motorway. The rooms were perfect, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, although my supposedly disabled room was easily flooded. The service was quick to change our room when needed, although there was a slight language barrier. The location, while excellent for a stopover, suffered from noise due to the busy interchange traffic late at night and early in the morning. The dining options left much to be desired, with a bland and early finish to dinner service, especially considering the price. Overall, it served its purpose for our needs but left room for improvement.
The hotel is conveniently located for a stop-over while traveling, with good service but some noise from traffic. The rooms are standard with twin beds, and the service is friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for accessing major roads but can be noisy due to traffic. The dining experience offers good quality, although the buffet is no longer available. The facilities are good overall.
